Burlington

The city of Burlington offers a different flavour to residents and visitors alike than many similar-sized communities in Ontario and the rest of Canada. With a population of just under 170,000, Burlington has enough economic opportunities to keep advancing, and the additional opportunities afforded when one factors in the proximity of major centres such as Hamilton and Toronto. Those with a real estate license in Toronto can tell you that the city will have a solid base for economic activity for the foreseeable future (not to mention a great location in the most densely populated region of the country, with easy access to the major market of the United States), making it the ideal home for anyone who needs to relocate to the Toronto area.

Burlington, located just on the west side of Oakville, Ontario, real estate, has managed to combine its city-like aspects with a premier location and thus retain a comfortable, mid-sized town atmosphere, which includes several defining cultural celebrations. For our part, we are going to credit this ability with the fact that many Burlington homes is located right on the banks of famous and scenic Lake Ontario, being at the Western end of this major transportation route and world landmark. After all, who can really sink into the pitfalls of an urban lifestyle when right out the window is one of the most majestic natural landmarks in the world?

The laid back mood of a Burlington home can be identified in the many cultural endeavours of the city. At the forefront, is the commitment of the municipality to exchange cultural and business ties with similar communities around the world. Thus, Burlington has sistered with several international cities in, among others, Japan, the Netherlands, and the United States.

Burlington is also well noted for two major festivals: The Sound of Music, which celebrates music of all genres and nationalities (the festival has played host to some major acts over the last decade and has been voted as one of Canada's top 100 festivals) and Canada's Largest Ribfest (and carnivores all over the world inherently understand what that means!).

In addition, Burlington shares responsibility for the incredible Royal Botanical Gardens with its neighbour, Hamilton. The gardens display a wide variety of both natural and cultivated flora growth, and are a unique attraction in the area.

The size and location of the city makes Burlington real estate premier locations to live or to visit in southern Ontario. A stable economy that includes a diverse array of opportunities means that the future of this city is bright indeed.
